7 Quick Picture Takes (Just For You, Mom!)
1. We wanted to get Jack a play kitchen for his birthday. We decided to put it together when we had time, even though it was a whole week early. Here I am in my tea party clothes, attempting to give Phillip a breather. And by 'breather' I mean 'ten minutes to kick and scream at his screwdriver'.
And, uh, that red panel on the right? Yeah, we broke that one. Oops!
2. So it was sort of a Christmas morning experience the next day.
This is the last time the play kitchen had all its cupboards shut and accessories in the appropriate places. SIGH.
3. And here we have Jack enjoying the toy food my parents bought to accompany the kitchen. This particular item is, in Jackspeak, a DOH! NUT!
You can see my mother bought the most nutritious play food she could find. Yes, that is an ONION RING.
4. And Molly turned 8 months old on May 1. We took, no lie, 4 bajillion pictures of just Molly, then Molly and Jack, then Molly and Fat the Bunny and this is the ONLY ONE WHERE SHE IS SMILING. There are a few where she's SORT of smiling, but mostly looks like a crazed loony version of a baby and I can't post THOSE. I had to crop Jack out of this one (who is smiling in nearly EVERY picture, if also with his mouth full of graham crackers since that was the only way we could convince him to have his picture taken.)
Why yes that WOULD be a drool-soaked shirtfront!
5. Have you noticed a lot of giveaway and product review blogs lately? Is it just me? I swear, all the mommyblogs have morphed into Consumer Reports and/or All Giveaways All The Time. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention. Kind of not my thing, but when someone is offering to send you something mysterious yet fun, and all you have to do is leave one measly comment, I'm all over that. And look! I won! Thanks Kate!
He immediately ran to make me some coffee in the play kitchen.
6. Molly's favorite part of my Philadelphia-themed prize (local magazines! TASTYKAKE!) was the bubble wrap. But that's only because she hasn't had cake yet.
Please note handsome stylish man on the magazine cover. The other magazine featured Grey's Anatomy caliber doctors. I think I'm not pretty enough to live in Philadelphia.
7. And I started making Jack's birthday cake tonight. He helped.
More quick takes here!

Too much cuteness in one post.

Where did you find that cute kitchen? And I'm referring to Jack's kitchen, not THE kitchen that I miss so terribly. :)

I really want a play kitchen for myself now. And play food too, of course. Is it wrong that I am jealous of a toddler?

Hey, I'm not even a mommyblogger and I'm giving stuff away! :) I'm glad there was something in there for "everyone" (look at that Molly smile, awww).
That kitchen looks awesome. And you're looking slim in your tea party clothes, missy.
