Links & Pictures: a blogger's favorite literary devices
You guys, I love having a girl.
Molly is SO much more responsive than Jack ever was. I feel "bonded" to her in a way I didn't with Jack until he was a big boy and could actually do stuff. I put quotes around bonded because who knows what that means. But she coos and smiles and talks and follows you and IT IS SO FUN. I had to work so hard for Jack smiles, but Molly's easy. Is it a girl thing? I have no idea.
Tomorrow morning I should have something up at Parenting. It's about the loss of all that is sacred and buying a fake Christmas tree. I know. Shudder.
Here is Jack in first grade. Well, visiting his aunt's first grade classroom. TECHNICALLY that's in first grade.
Even though I've bought most of my Christmas gifts (am a gift buying ROCK STAR this year), I am loving Elizabeth's 100 things under $25. Mostly because I want all of those things for me. Hint hint Phillip! One thing I love about Elizabeth's list (and other crafty types who come up with these things) is that they do all the Etsy searching for you. So many times I wander over to Etsy in search of a baby gift or something or other and get completely overwhelmed by the frillion options. Yay for you people with discerning eyes, helping out the hopelessly uncrafty.
Speaking of crafty, Ashley launched an Etsy shop. I like this bag.
Jack got his own sample from the candy store. AND his mother let him have the whole thing.
Strangely enough, this is not an ad for the Bundle Me. Although it's like a little baby sleeping bag and Molly zonks out and is it not adorable?
What else is adorable? Jen's new baby.
So are my babies.
Even if I never get a decent Christmas card picture out of them. Frankly, I am Christmas Pictured Out. I'm not sending cards this year. Have just decided. Hope you're okay with that.
I am sort of obsessed with Twitter. You should follow me because I'm awesome.
Molly says, "when I chomp on my hands like this it means I'm starving. Step away from the computer and FEED ME, WOMAN!"

Your kids are so cute. So, so, so cute. That first picture of you and Molly? Killer.

They're adorable, Maggie.
The BundleMe was my LIFESAVER that first winter with Asher. Can you believe that last year I walked around the lake with him EVERY SINGLE DAY with that thing? Unless it was less than 40 degrees out, then I stayed in. (It was only less than 40 degrees out something like 15 times. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH EXERCISE I GOT LAST YEAR, especially since in the last three months I have gotten NONE.)

Your kids are freakin' adorable! And YOU!!!! You look amazing Maggie. I'm very impressed with your hard work. Now, do you think you can send some of that determination my way?

I'm thinking of getting a really good smiley pic of Olivia with her stuffed Santa and then putting it side-by-side with our family picture from her 9-month shots for the Christmas card. That can be done, right? Because she refuses to sit still and smile while sitting with us in front of the tree. REFUSES. And her 12-month studio photos were not great. And I'm tired of fighting it.
Your kids just get cuter. I think girls are more responsive from an earlier age. It seems so, anyway.

I'm all about the pictures.
I mean, they're worth a thousand words and all that.
{Seriously, very adorable pictures. Great job with the beautiful offspring!}
Thanks for the mention, too. I was totally surprised and excited to see that you mentioned my Etsy shop. Whee!

I almost had a heart attack when you said Jack was in 1st grade, because, WHAT? WHERE DID ALL OF THOSE YEARS GO?? And then it made sense.
Also, I want pretty much everything in Ashley's shop. I can't figure Etsy out though in general, I just know her little pouches are adorable.

Aww, I think your girl loves having you for a mommy! And Jack looks very handsome with his hair sideswept like that.
You are looking slender, Maggie!!!
