Lazy
Jack is having graham crackers and milk. I am reading blogs at the table, my eyelids propped open with toothpicks. Jack woke up at the crack of dawn this morning and MARTYR THAT I AM, I let my husband stay in bed. EVEN THOUGH my lower vertebrae made horrifying cracking noises as I maneuvered my manatee-like self out of bed. The prince was a royal pain this morning too, what with all the whining and not eating of yogurt and demanding of the remote.
In between the spurts of whining I thought about all the things I should do today. Namely: CLEAN MY FILTHY HOUSE. I've realized that a huge downside to cleaning every inch of your kitchen is that it inevitably filthies up again and you have to do it ALL OVER. What is up with THAT? The floors could use a good scrubbing (even though I scrubbed them LAST WEEK, come ON), the stairs need vacuuming and the area around the high chair could use a power washer. I would please like a one year supply of cleaning ladies.
But I think we will go shopping instead. Because I feel like it.
Also, the wading pool.

That is a nice wading pool! And I adore Jack in his hat!

I haven't said it in a while, so let me say it now: Your baby is freaking adorable.
And also, have you noticed that you have to go grocery shopping AGAIN this week even though you JUST WENT last week? WHERE DOES ALL THE FOOD GO?

Some days are just like that...like treading water and getting nowhere. Also, wading pools are a total lifesaver for a grumpy wannabe toddler around here. Water calms the savage beast in her.

Yeah for shopping and wading pool! My house is also a filth hole. To demonstrate: I spent an hour reorganizing my desk and was SO PROUD, even though our floors are covered with an inch-think layer of dog hair and dust. OH WELL.

OMG - I just love those pics! So cute! Also, I think it's about time you shared a "bump" pic :)
I am dreading cleaning my kitchen this weekend - we have house guests which always adds to the mess.

I do believe that is the best idea for a baby gift EVER. A year supply of cleaning ladies. If I were less of a control freak (okay, and more concerned about having not just a tidy but a CLEAN house) I would LOVE to receive that gift.
Isn't Jack just the cutest little wader ever.

We really need to plan a time to meet up at the Green Lake wading pool. We're going Tuesday at lunch, but I have a girlfriend coming along then. Maybe we can coordinate times for Thursday? We should chat later.

That wading pool looks like so much fun!
Oh, and as I was reading, Adam walked by and saw the picture of Jack holding the remote and said, "Those look like really nice floors." So there you go. Random comment of the day. And he's a neat freak! So apparently they don't appear filthy at all. :-)

Those are great pictures! Where is that wading pool? Is that at Green Lake? I live in the Seattle area too, but I've never found a fun wading pool yet. Let me know where it is!

The remote picture is hilarious! Our little one has TWO remotes that are just his. One is small and goes to the CD player in his room that we never use, and the other goes to nothing. I think it might have been a VCR. His grandmother took the dead VCR to the dump but saved the remote for her grandson, knowing how he loves them so.
