A short time out in the middle of crazy
Hello Loyal Readers! All four of you!
So, I haven't posted in forever because of something called WORK and then something else called BEING BUSY EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN MINUTE. (I had plans to write something last night but after the last minute of Lost I was too distraught. Damn you J. J. Abrams!)
Anyway. I am still here. I will write something soon, maybe about The Audit and how my auditor made 40 frillion mistakes and split her skirt, maybe about Figgy Pudding and how Phillip is feverishly Googling to find out whether it really is possible to die of embarrassment, or maybe how I am going to host Thanksgiving AT MY HOUSE. Does anyone know how to cook a turkey? Anyone?)
In the meantime, email me to find out how you can donate to Figgy Pudding!

I did Thanksgiving last year. A 20lb turkey. Named Jeff. My Polish roommate and I really became "Americans" last year when we picked apples and baked our own apple pie from scratch, and when we did Thanksgiving with all the side dishes. From scratch. All thanks to www.foodtv.com and Martha Stewart. ;)

my secret to hosting thanksgiving at the blakeley a couple years back was brining the turkey. delicious. just make sure you have a big enough pot.
i also recommend making sure you prepare what you can on wednesday - at least a few pies and salads and then leave yourself plenty of time to just enjoy yourself and cook on thursday.
our family is going out to dinner. with the brother's girlfriend's family. so it'll be like a whole bunch of firsts...
