Overweight, half-crazy, post-partum blogger advertises her bloggerness

I have spent the entire day on the Internet. I need an Internet Break. But before I go...

    1. I have a [YET ANOTHER!] new website! The newest version of Hot By Thirty is called Breaking Up With Bread and comes with a whole new blogger, my partner in weight loss suckitude: Princess Nebraska! Go cheer us on, please.

    2. I just googled our new blog name and oops, about ten thousand people thought of it before I did. OH WELL.

    3. I also have a weight-related post up at Parenting tomorrow. I don't have much imagination today. (see: ON INTERNET ALL DAY LONG.)

    4. AND! AND! My neighbor came over with her two kids and it was super cute and an all around excellent way to kill those afternoon hours. Yay! Right? Except for the part where 1) I told her about my website and 2) she went home and looked up my website and 3) LEFT ME A COMMENT OMG on the 4) POST ABOUT MY NEIGHBOR COMING OVER. So now I am dead. Good night!

P.S. Hey neighbor! NOW YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ME!

Maggie you are on fire with the awesomeness, of late. So excited for Breaking up with Bread. I am now drinking pop for god sake....I NEVER drink pop.

Now I think you're REALLY lucky - not only do you have a new neighbor friend, but you have a new neighbor BLOGGER friend.

Hee,I like your new neighbor friend. I predict many fun playdates (for kids and moms!) to come. :)

OMG, your neighbor sounds like the coolest! As a midwesterner myself, I think I'd like her attitude. Takes the pressure off. I find "organized" houses with small children to be a bit intimidating. I can't get my kid to subscribe to the Montessori-esque idea that everything should have a place, and she just messes up houses that ARE able to keep such organization intact. In Olivia's mind (and frankly, in mine) if all the toys end up piled in one corner of the closet, instead of scattered all over the living room floor, we consider that "clean".

Your neighbor sounds very cool! I'd love to have a neighbor like her (especially one that didn't mind the clutter!).

Sorry to cross-post but I just read your Parenting blog today and I have two suggestions...Spanx may help with something you already own (they have versions from boob to toe) but if you feel an uncontrollable breakdown approaching (totally been there), throw your credit card at the problem and go to Eileen Fisher (downtown Seattle). The women who work there are the best, a bunch of recent grandmothers. They 'helped' me when I was 5mths pregnant pick out a couple of things that would last through my entire pregnancy AND that I am still wearing (and liking) even though my son is 7 mths. Unbelieveable, right? I swear its the truth. Don't make your self crazy, just go.

Yes, I would be dead from neighbor-blog crossover too. My blog has been outed now, so I KNOW people are reading it, but until they start commenting, I can pretend they aren't reading. La la la la, I can't HEAR YOU.

(maniacal laughter) Now you will never be able to get rid of me! Not only do I live up the street, but I read your blogs! Little did you know that my #1 favorite downtime activity is reading random Mom Blogs. Well, and watching reality shows on television. And stuffing all my kids' random junk in closets.
    By the way...
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/27/health/biological-changes-thwart-weight-loss-efforts-study-finds.html?hp (if dieting wasn't already the most depressing activity known to man)

and, www.thekrentzfamily.blogspot.com (to even out the playing field a bit)

I assume people read my blog all the time, because it keeps me from freaking out that someone I know in real life *might* be reading. Also-- neighbor friend has a blog! And now we're all going to go see if she's going to write about you!
