Seven quick things Phillip wants to tell the Internet

    1. "The Cheung family is behind Conan."

    2. "Tell everyone they should return their shopping carts to their designated spots - not in between your car or at the islands or AT MY BUS STOP."

    3. "I don't know what the digital equivalent of the Tiananmen Square massacre is, but I'm worried that China will do it." (Ed. note: This is about the Google thing. If you are all, "HUH?")

    4. "Does anyone else know what ontology is? Hopefully I'll know by the end of the quarter."

    5. "How come the computer mysteriously starts working just after you get me off the couch to come look?"

    6. "Is it really bad that I wore out my one pair of brown shoes and I want to buy the exact same ones?"

    7. "A Bluetooth-enabled car stereo? I came up with that idea ten years ago."

    6. No, it's not bad, as long as they lasted more than a year the first time around. I actually do this with shoes I love all the time. I'm on my 3rd pair of Eastlands.

    4. I do! I do! Ontology is the science (study) of being. To make an ontological claim about something is to make a claim about the nature of the thing. What *I* want to know is, what kind of graduate program could Philip possibly be in that relates to computer geekiness and talks about ontology?

Phillip sounds a lot like my husband. Particularly #'s 3, 5, and 7.

hey girl....I have been soooo out of touch!! I lost your bookmark and then couldn't (didn't) find it again. Heading to read and catch up!!

"How come the computer mysteriously starts working just after you get me off the couch to come look?"

That is exactly what happens to me. What is up with that?

That also happens to all of my symptoms whenever I go to the doctor. I wish I knew why.

The Troy family stands with the Cheungs behind Conan.

Torsten would like to ask number 5 as well.

Team Conan here, too! He won me over ever since he continued to pay his staff during the Writer's Strike, out of his own pockets.

I'm at the end of my graduate program and I'm still trying to figure out what ontology is. :-P
