Monday filler, and entirely too much facial hair

I am typing this while watching the Golden Globes, so forgive any Ricky Gervais-related outbursts, ok? I'd watch it later, but TWITTER will tell me everything so I have to watch it now. Also, just so you know, Phillip was all, "I'm going to IRON because I am too GOOD to watch AWARD SHOWS" but whatever, he is totally sitting right here next to me.

MAN am I in need of a good week around here. FOR REALZ. I was all set to get back to normal when everyone ELSE was getting back to normal, but no, (OH GEORGE, NOT A BEARD!) it's been hard. I don't know. The weather is miserable. My attitude is atrocious. There's been a serious lack of exercise (I am not going to see this Precious movie, I know it's amazing, I'm still not going to see it) and a truly amazing amount of food. Like this weekend. Dear God.

SATURDAY: (Monica Geller looks so pretty tonight) (GO GLEE!) I went to Red Robin for lunch (ranch dressing, holla!) and later that evening I went to the FPC's apartment where she had made cream puffs - in order to make a cream puff CAKE - for our other sister's birthday cake and of course I had to try some of THAT. And then, after dinner, I went out with the birthday partiers and ate two deep fried appetizers and a giant glass of fantastic delicious chocolate mousse, more or less by myself. OH YES.

(SIDE NOTE: There are lots of people in this world who look at a giant glass of chocolate mousse and say, in all honesty, "There's no way I could eat even two bites of that." I am not one of those people. I hear you say that and think, "MORE FOR ME!")

SUNDAY: Dim sum! And then a gigantic plate of gorgonzola pasta and PEOPLE, I believe this is when you start planning the intervention.

In other news: my treadmill is STILL broken, even though we had an actual Treadmill Fix-It Man come out here on Friday morning. Turns out we need a $65 piece of plastic to replace the large broken piece of plastic we saw when we took the cover off the motor. Oops.

(Should I be watching Dexter? I kind of want to, especially after reading all the tweets about the season! finale! but it's, like, the fourth season already. Hmm.)

(We're going to see Sherlock Holmes tomorrow. What did you think?)

Oh, did I mention? We left the kids with grandparents tonight, especially exciting since Phillip has the day off. We went to eight o'clock Mass in order to get the kids to the grandparents and get back to the city in time for dim sum and we pulled it off. I only had to take Molly out for the last ten minutes, and she only got mad enough to throw one crayon and it only went about three pews behind us. Not bad!

ANYWAY. You are bored out of your mind, if you even got this far. (I think I hate Kate Hudson's dress.) (I think Ricky should have shaved.) (I hate Felicity Huffman's hair.) (I am SO excited for Lorelai Gilmore's new show!) (Okay, obviously I should just be watching TV. GOOD NIGHT.)

(WAIT. OMG. Don Draper what is that MADNESS on your FACE?! AAAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!)

sherlock holmes was my favorite bromance of the year.

Lorelai has a new show? How did I miss this?

I am also SO excited about Lorelai Gilmore's new show. I really hope it is as good as it looks. (Not Gilmore Girls level. I cannot expect Gilmore Girls level. Can I?)

Sherlock Holmes = 4 thumbs up here (two adults, two teens - at two different showings due to the fact we would definitely NOT take the 5 yo).

As for the Globes - I sat down to watch but had to turn it off after a minute of that host's jokes. He was rather... boring and trite and too focused on his own shortcomings, so to speak. Bleh. I have kids, and they (and I)don't need to listen to that. I'll have to look at all the pictures and see what was won, and what was worn :-).

Mousse: I feel the same way. I could probably eat a whole bucket of it if someone gave me one.

Dexter: Really great show. Watch the old ones on Netflix. That's what we did (which means we're always a season behind) but we still love it.

Sherlock Holmes: Lots of fun, sort of ridiculous plot, love the witty banter between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

FPC made a croquembouche (I think, was it cone shaped and caramelly and glorious?)!

I will take Don Draper any which way, at least it wasn't a 'stache.

    I ADORED Sherlock Holmes. OMG.

I didn't think I'd really like Sherlock Holmes, but it turns out that I loved it.

I watched the Golden Globes off and on last night. I'm not sure why I couldn't get into it.
