    Move over, Ming Tsai

Take a gander at my husband, the next Food Network star:

The sushi party, it was... okay, I'll admit it, it was kind of awesome.

Except for that crooked picture in the back there. That is not awesome.

I had my doubts about a sushi party, but I should never underestimate the sheer fabulousness of our friends and their willingness to handle raw fish.

And eat my ugly tempura. (BUT IT TASTED GOOD. HONEST.)

    Phillip was in his element.

    As was Jack.

(That would be ice cream and peach cobbler, not anything remotely resembling dinner. Of course.)

It was super fun instead of super lame to have the kids there.

And Liz and The Bubba win for Best Gift Ever.

Can you see whose face is superimposed on the box? That was the best part.

This post would have more words except for the fact that it is nine o'clock and one child is howling like the boogie man is sitting IN his crib and one child is restless in the pack and play in the office and WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE CHILDREN?

    Yay sushi!

Bwahahahh. Awesome gift Liz! P looks like he had a lovely birthday. Well done Maggie & Co.

    I'm impressed! Happy birthday Philip!

You have your own MING!! I'm so, so SO JEALOUS!!

Haha! Zebra striped, no less. Awesome!

That looks like so much fun! Love the zebra snuggie. :)

It looks so fun! I'm glad it went well! Also, your kitchen looks a lot like our kitchen. I like it.

I would totally watch Phillip on the Food Network.

The picture was crooked? I looked and it looks okay to me. But my husband always says my brain is crooked because apparently I can't see crooked pictures in our own house.

    Hurray for a great party!

That zebra snuggie? BEST PRESENT EVER!!!! That party looks like so much FUN!!!
And I totally have something to re-gift to you now! WOOO!!

Awesome party pics! It looked like everyone had a great time. I really want a snuggie....Does it dome in tiger stripes??? :-D

Looks like you had a lot of fun. I love sushi, but have never had the nerve to try and make it at home. Do you remember the dessert sushi episode of Gilmore Girls? That would be the closest thing I'd try. :)
Maybe what I like about sushi is that we have to go out to get it?.... hmmmmm

I especially appreciate the photo with the guy licking his wine glass. Hilarious.

And that is one fabulous snuggie.

Yay for sushi indeed! We had sushi Friday night (only the second time in my life by the way) and it was SO GOOD. Probably because my husband knows what he's doing and ordered me the good stuff.

I just want to know what Phillip is doing in MY dream kitchen.

If I ever live near you, can I come to a sushi party. Although, I must confess, I'm probably not nearly cool enough to be at one.

Can you post instructions/shopping list for how to actually pull off a sushi party? Because then I can send them to Jennie and she can host it. ;)
