    It IS a girl!

Molly Elizabeth Cheung was born at 10:15 last night. 7 pounds 12 ounces (we think, we sort of forgot, oops) and 20 inches. Totally adorable of course.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I'll give you all the gory details later (because that is what blogs are for!) but for now I'll just say that everything went really well, I'm doing awesome, the baby was born somehow knowing how to latch (I KNOW!) and Phillip is recovering well from the finger-shaped bruises all over his hands which may or may not be from me.

I am off to eat my giant hospital breakfast and await our throngs of visitors.

love love love m and p and molly (and jack! he loves you too.)

(I have no idea if these pictures are showing up, by the way. Crossing my fingers...)

Oh, congratulations, Cheung family!! Maggie, she's beautiful, and her name is so perfect. And you look amazing! Well done!! Thanks for letting us know - I was also checking through the weekend waiting for news. (c: Enjoy these precious first days with your new daughter!

    Yahooooooooooo!
You guys totally have skilllllz when it comes to the names. Molly and Jack. What a duo!

Geez, this is what I get for not checking blogs over the holiday weekend! What a perfect name for a perfect little baby. So sweet and simple! My niece is named Molly, and my middle name is Elizabeth, so I think it is completely perfect.

Hope you are all doing very well!

Oh, Congratulations! SO INCREDIBLY ADORABLE. You did good, mom! And what a perfect name. She is SUCH a Molly Elizabeth.
Hugs to all of you, and congratulations again.

I find it both amusing & appropriate that Molly was born on Labor Day.

    Happy birthday, dearest Molly! :o)

Awwww---what a pretty, pretty baby. Molly Elizabeth! Congratulations.

    You look fantastic.

Whoa whoa whoa! I don't check my blogs for ONE DAY and THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS? Yay! Congratulations! She is SO CUTE and I love her name!

Congratulations to all of you, she's just beautiful!

    Congratulations!

Hoorray! Welcome to the world Molly!

FINALLY, the OTHER reason why I won't consider the name Molly! Because I THOUGHT you were using it, and it felt WEIRD to say, "My internet friend is using that name," but I couldn't SAY that out loud on the Internet without pointing a finger at YOU.

She's adorable!! Congratulations, both Molly AND her name are adorable. Can't WAIT to see the first sibling pictures!

Woo hoo! She's beautiful, Maggie! Congratulations!

And also, I love her name. Molly is such a sweet, lovely name, and we can't ever use it because my parents-in-law have this incredibly annoying Yorkshire terrier named Molly, so it makes me happy to see someone I know using it.

Plus, Jack and Molly are traditionally nicknames for John and Mary, so you've got the old-school thing going on with a new-gen twist. I love it!

Might I also say that you look pretty fabulous for having just pushed a baby out of you. And if those are the new glasses, they are super cute.

awwwww so exciting!!!!! i'm so happy to hear the news! you look fabulous and molly elizabeth is a BEAUTIFUL name!!!!

    barbara

ps...you will love having them so close together...my first two are 13 months apart and i still love how that worked out!

I was guessing Malia was an option at one point because I was reading your archives and I thought you had said you had a friend named that. AND Obama's kid's name is that and I kept reading it in print and wondering the pronunciation and so I looked it up and saw it was Hawaiian and you had said one of Phillip's arguments against whatever name you had chosen was that it was a "such and such a place" name. SO. We must hear more naming details and debates now. What was the name? Do share.

So cute! Congratulations! And, Molly is a great name (and, sounds wonderful with Jack).
    Hee!

The picture did show up! And congratulations. Adorable. And way to go on the latching. :)

I'm so happy for you guys! (And I'm thrilled that she actually is a girl! What a twist that would have been, huh?) :)

You look great, and she is just a cutie. Molly is a great name - good choice. Can't wait to see more pics!

    She is absolutely beautiful!! Congratulations!

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOORAY AND CONGRATS!! Molly Elizabeth is such a lovely name, and you both look beautiful!

I love that she was born on Labour Day...

YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!! In most of my pics post-partum I look like I'm about to faint/throw up or I'm not wearing a shirt or I'M ASLEEP. Our babies are going to go through life in the same grade!! Yay! That is until yours skips a few of course. Sigh.
Way to go girl. Can't wait to hear about your experience and how YOUR drugs went!!
I love the name Molly by the way! So adorable!!
